I've spent many weekends in the Mojave Desert when my boyfriend/husband raced desert races. I enjoy it when it's not hot or super windy. Motorhomes rule out there.
Wow, so the snakes are the ones who should be afraid of you, they don't stand a chance by the sounds of it. Very cool, it sounds like you are in your environment there. Great.

If you're a desert fan it's amazing. I love all the huge rocks. I looked at the campgrounds where you park amongst them and some of them had little space between campers, which is fine if you're with friends. The following campground had more space between campers than a humongous one I looked at. The other one had bigger rocks. I'm not a fan of pit toilets. The campground I stayed in had flush toilets and two sinks with cold water.

Yes, definitely a desert fan, we've gone to Moab (and the surrounding area) about 5 times over the years. Usually if we're camping we're in a travel trailer so the amenities aren't a huge issue, but on the road trips with my brother we tent it if weather permits. It's all green in Michigan and a few hills which is fine, but a change in scenery is needed sometimes.

I lived in Acton, CA from 1985 to 2008. The town next door was Agua Dulce. The Flintstones movie was filmed in Agua Dulce at Vasquez Rocks. It was fun to see the sets there.

That is very cool, lol. I like the names of towns out there too.

Probably have breakfast somewhere after.
Girls did pretty well for their first race.

I must be losing my grip! I decided to clean the basement this weekend. It is a mess as I have been putting it off for a long time. Already several hours into it and I had to take a break.

My friend (whom I help with computer issues, etc., ) sent me a nice gift certificate as a Christmas gift. We may use it before Christmas, like tonight, . We will head to the little village on the water with the Christmas Tree of lobster buoys and grab an early dinner/late lunch. The village is nicely decorated for Christmas. Maybe I'll snap some cell phone pics and even find some Christmas spirit.
