At their previous home they had three televisions running 24/7 , some without volume and just a picture, even when they were not home, it was crazy.

Right now my father-in-law wants to watch Portuguese programming that they stream from the homeland, and my mother-in-law prefers to watch English television (she doesn't care for the Portuguese shows). So one TV for the two different programming. still crazy but that is what they want.

My weekend starts today, Monday. I'm flying to CA for four nights without something to fix!

I've always wanted to go to Joshua Tree National Park so I just reserved a tent spot for Wednesday night. It will be cold but I'm used to cold. I have a tent and sleeping bag. It's just one night. How bad can it be? Hotels are only about 30 miles away.

Left my phone on the plane last Saturday. I didn't realize it until I went to use it at the car rental facility. After several frustrating calls and other interactions with Delta's automated systems, yesterday evening we finally talked (on my wife's phone) to a human who had my phone in her hand. We will pick it up Friday when we are back in Detroit.

Otherwise we are having a great time with Rob, Morgan and the boys.

I suppose it could be useful if you had to make the run out to the northeast end of the ranch.
No way. A million!?

tof, I just got to Orange County, CA. For anyone who cares and doesn't know Los Angeles is an hour north of Orange County and San Diego is an hour south of OC. The man I was sitting next to on the plane left his phone in the seat back pocket but he remembered before he got too far so he turned around and went back for it. The desk person went and got it off the plane for him. He was journaling and he used cursive sometimes and printing sometimes. That's different for sure.

Enjoy, Patty. You could not pay me to sleep in a tent. On a warm or cold evening.

No bears. Joshua Tree National Park is in dry desert. Lizards and snakes, yes.

Yeah, I'm not 100% sure I'll do it. The worst part is having to pee and walk to the bathroom in the cold and dark. The second worst part is not having my coffee maker in the morning. I figure I'll make some at home, heat it up and put it in one or two of my insuated cups.

Love camping in a tent! Being away from all the stuff is part of why I like it
