What plans do you have for the coming Weekend ?

My GF and two of her classmates, who are dating, are taking me out Friday, for my birthday (#56 on Sunday). This weekend, I will also be continuing to assist the GF in her house reno. Wants to have the 1st floor complete for Thanksgiving. Flooring going in this week.
Christmas cards will be made out starting next week. Yes, I still send out Christmas cards and write handwritten notes in them! Post-thanksgiving is the mass Holiday cookie event. Before the Pandemic, I would make over 300 dozen cookies for work events, friends and the local VFW. Now that i am in a new office, I will be getting back to that level of output.

I finished weatherstripping our front door and rear door. Since the cold weather arrived I noticed water accumulating under the front door and rear door each day. Warm air was escaping causing condensation water to form under the door (not good). Just checked this morning after the first door weatherstripping was done and it is finally dry, so much less air escaping now, yippie. Hot air = money.

Headed to an open studio event at an old mill building with a friend. Local artists rent space there. It's interesting to see what they do.

My garage door project morphed into replacing my trailer lights project.
it is amazing how little trivial things can stop you cold for a day or two or seven until the next weekend.
With no exaggeration, I honestly figured about a half hour for this. not 3 weeks.
First I needed a new central harness, then I needed a riv-nut tool and some riv-nuts, and then it was some big 3/8" ring connectors for grounds.
I finally am just about done but I need some allen hex-head M10x20 bolts to attach the side markers.
I think.
Of course in the interim, the weather has gotten cold which will make working with the azek a true bi*** and a half.

We are swapping on the snow tires, we do it ourselves in our driveway, and the wifey and son have to assist as I don't do it on my own.
It is almost like a mini- Formula 1 pit stop and it goes pretty fast. I jack up the corner, my son zaps off the lugs, I pull off the old wheel. My wife rolls over the new wheel to me, and I mount the new wheel on the hub as my son zaps the lugs onto the new wheel. I do the final torque check . That is what you call cooperation. It only takes a couple minutes per corner that way.

I swap mine over as well Joey, except the rest of the pit crew stays nice and warm in the house.
