We had a client, he's passed now, that we bought and every shipped the new Hess Toy Truck to all his boy relatives. He was in a nursing home in later life and we still gift wrapped and shipped to them every year. I think we were sending over 20 of them every Christmas. RIP Mr Kozy. Always a good memory when we get a Hess email.

^Hess sold its retail (gas) stations in 2013 and they no longer exist:
On March 4, 2013, Hess announced that it would sell its domestic refineries and retail operations. The New York Times reported that Hess retail and refinery operations contributed about 4 percent of the company's revenue. It also noted that Hess would sell its holdings in Indonesia and Thailand.[20] The company would focus exclusively on oil production, following a trend in the oil industry for companies to spin off their downstream assets and focus on their more profitable upstream business; ConocoPhillips and Marathon Oil also made similar spinoffs in recent years with Phillips 66 and Marathon Petroleum, respectively.
Further research found this:
On January 8, 2014, Hess filed for a tax-free spin-off of its gas station network. The newly formed company was to be known as Hess Retail and would include over 1,200 stores throughout the Eastern United States.[25] Before completing the spin-off, Marathon Petroleum subsidiary Speedway LLC announced on May 22, 2014, that it would acquire the retail unit of Hess Corp for $2.87 billion. Following the closure of the acquisition in late 2014, all Hess gas stations were rebranded as Speedway gas stations by the end of 2017.[26][27] The transaction completed the transformation of Hess into an energy company focused solely on exploration and production, effectively reversing the Amerada merger of almost 50 years prior.

This weekend? Celebrating that the HS and College soccer season is over!

Putting new pads on the left front of the S2000 and getting an appointment to replace the #2 cylinder head replaced. Parts are already in hand.

Back to visit my in-laws in Sarnia , Ontario, their house officially sells tomorrow. We are having a dinner at their new apartment, and they managed to find one more piece of furniture for me to assemble (it was too good to be true) .

Cleaning the pine needles out of the WRX again and sealing up all the ‘orifices’ of the S, time for it’s hibernation.

getting pine needles and leaves in our cars in our location is like getting beach sand in your private parts down south.
