I'm off to deliver a big-ass container filled with baked pasta (Penne) to my in-laws, along with bread and salad. We need to feed them this weekend after a stressful move they had, they live one hour away from us on the Port Huron / Sarnia border area.

Quick lunch with the grandson today. He still likes hot dogs, and so do we, as an occasional meal.
Gave him $25.00 for gas, because that's what grandma's do, ordered a decal overlay for the gear shift on his VW as the plate below is scratched...again, that's what we do.

Hadn't seen him since he got the replacement 2009 VW, GTI. A few scratches on it, interior very clean, says it's been running well. Fingers crossed.

Rick will research the tires on it to see if the grandson would be better off with dedicated snow tires.

Rick and I will go to dinner later. Right now he's washing two cars and waxing one. Fall cleaning for a car guy.

Decided not to rent a lift and put out Christmas lights. They can wait until next year!

I didn't have plans to do this, but I ended up taking the NSX up to Estes Park for a little jaunt, after going to the post office, and now I'm washing my little fun cars.

An OK day although I am dragging my derriere.
I futzed around getting the go pro set up for the SL63 driving video. emptying the card and so forth.
Went down to the garage, got the mower and DR lawn vacuum set up for SWMBO.
The I started my 1/2 hour project of replacing the wiring harness and lights on the trailer.
I mean, after all, how hard can it be? After a while I figured out, this would be much easier working at it from the bottom.
The good news is it is fairly light. or maybe I should say not really heavy.

If you look carefully, those rods that run from the center to the back corners are actually intended to carry the lighting wires.
It is on the calendar now for some more serious love in the future. at least some more Rustoleum flat black spray paint.

We had a nice visit with my in-laws in their new apartment home. Their house officially sells November 10th, 2023, where they have lived for 60+ years. I had to assemble three pieces of furniture for them, not my favourite thing to do but they needed the help. They now live about 100 yards from Lake Huron, we are trying to convince them to spend more time outdoors going for walks and exploring the natural area around them. Sadly they have no interest in doing so, they will just sit in the apartment most days and not go outdoors very much. I don't really want to reach that point in life if I was to end up like them, I see them as being alive but they really aren't "living" much. They are physically capable of walking and moving around but they have no interest in doing so. I think their health will deteriorate if they choose to live that lifestyle. It is sad but nothing will change them.

I like that phrase. A wise women once told me to lose the word "should."

I agree that activity is necessary. Use it or lose it. Not all subscribe to that theory. Unfortunately, time takes a toll on those who don't.
