What plans do you have for the coming Weekend ?

Good luck to your Dad, Sam. Yes, robb we are tired. Not too many steps today, or tomorrow since we are heading home. I forgot to add in the 199 steps to climb to the top of the Cape May Lighthouse one day. Visited a nature reserve too. Did everything we wanted to do. Thankful for that!

We are going on a color tour tomorrow in spite of the crappy weather outlook . . . mostly just to have a few drinks with friends at the end.

Back on Sat from my sis’ funeral in FL. Sun is the Marine Corps Marathon, which is always a big event here.

Sam, hoping for a positive outcome for your dad and that he will be enjoying your new home with you soon. Somehow you got through the summer without that 911 ride you promised.

I remembered about that promise about a week ago and thought there's still time. Yeah, I was wrong. I do apologize. It will happen, just not sure it'll be 2023 now.

Hey, Deb. Sorry to hear you have lost a sibling.
I am luck to be the oldest of four, so I will probably be the first to go.

Thanks…I was fortunate to have arrived at the hospice six hours before she died. She knew I was with her which was truly a blessing. She went out on her own terms. That is pretty much all we can ask for.

Losing a sibling is most difficult. The order of age isn't a guarantee as to who goes first. We lost the second to the youngest in 2019, the oldest in 2023.

All day I've been assembling a toy kitchen complete with everything made out of wood, even a refrigerator with an ice cube maker that drops wooden ice cubes. It comes with wooden food. It has 8 separate bags of various size screws. It reminds me of model building except with wood and screws. This one will be in a window display. Girls will love it, fathers will have a fun time hopefully putting it together but at least they won't step on a Lego. I hope Santa has engineer elves. It comes in a box with lots of pieces. One of those Grandfather gifts.
So far I've got the refrigerator doors assembled. Next is the freezer door and then the fridge itself. Tomorrow I'll start on the other box that has the rest of the toy kitchen in it.
Right now I'm enjoying a Bloody Mary.
