What plans do you have for the coming Weekend ?

Tanks, Sue. I am definitely on the mend. I was on Valacyclovir for two weeks. May have been too late but i started in it the day my rash showed up in full bloom but several days after I first experienced noticeable discomfort, i.e. panful tightness that I mistook for a pulled abdominal muscle.

We are both getting over sniffles. Vito tested positive for COVID but I did not. We finally went out both days last weekend. Sat to the farmers market and brunch with a friend. And Sun on the Georgetown canal boat tour and brunch with nephew and family. So got a lot of walking in, but Vito has not been running much. He is going to attempt five miles today. If he is successful he will probably run the Army 10-Miler on Sun.

Posh has gotten into running. She had a race last Sat AM. Ran a little over a mile in 14 min. Not bad.

My "weekends" are usually during the week when the true weekenders are working. Sunday, my honey, Michael, and I are going to Grand Lake, CO to stay in a VBRO cabin on the lake for three nights. He has to take off vacation days because he still works. It's past prime for the colors in the Rocky Mountains, but I didn't reserve a cabin early enough so that's what we are "stuck" with. Michael is a Colorado native and has backpacked in RMNP but has never stayed or visited Grand Lake on the east side. It should still be fine and cozy since it will be rather chilly with excellent snuggling weather and we can still hike a bit before winter hits. We're hoping to drive across Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain National Park on Sunday, on our way there, to save an hour of drive time, but there's no way it's going to happen on Wednesday when we drive back to Loveland because snow and rain are predicted in the high country and Trail Ridge Road will be closed. I went to Rocky Mountain National Park on Wednesday and that's how I know the peak colors are done. When I was there last week the peak colors hadn't quite hit but this week they're past prime. It will be very good for him to get a calm mountain break from his truly evil, micro-managing boss. Our two year dating anniversary is October 16th. We are very happy together although both happily independent introverts and living in our own homes.
10-4-2023. Nymph Lake, an "easy" short hike of .5 miles at 9,400 feet with 245 feet of gain.
10-4-2023. Sprague Lake, with a flat path around it lake in RMNP. It's where you see codgers, even some with walkers. My last visit there, I watched elk mating, or attempted mating.
9-25-2023. Female showing the harem leader how it's done at Sprague Lake.
9-25- 2023. The aspens were yellow and green, then. On 10-4-2023, many aspens had lost their leaves.
