What plans do you have for the coming Weekend ?

We hosted a MG meet Saturday. Following several days of dry weather . . sure enough, it had to rain all Saturday morning. Still 30 people showed up, almost all in their daily drivers. Well we did have some tin tops - Jag, Rover, and an MGB GT; one MGA (top up). But, the weather gods brought out the sun about 1PM and it was a great day to be outside after that.
Tonight, we debated about going to Lansing, about an hour away, for another British car club dinner. Air quality wasn't the greatest due to the Canadian fires. Since top down was the only way I was going we passed it up. Next Saturday I'll be taking the MG to the Vintage Races north of Pontiac, where I've made arrangements for a special roped off parking area for our club at the very best viewing spot on the track. A few days later we will be taking it to a special event in Belleville to honor a lifetime MG owner who passed away. And soon after that, the club will be hosting a beach party at a member's house.
Even if the cars are well over 60 years old we still have a lot going on with them, for which I am thankful.

You have a beach nearby?
I miss our very busy S2K social times/gatherings from early on after we got our car. We had a blast!
Glad you are still enjoying the car and the like minded people.

Yep, not your kind of beach but Michigan has over 11,000 lakes.

I was ready to go but Donna said no thanks. Of course she was already out half the day doing horse stuff . . . but wearing a mask. She claims she can taste it.

This Sunday I have 25+ "family" coming to have a "small" memorial service for Patty.
My kids are coming Saturday as it is the 17th anniversary of their mother passing.
This is not a weekend I have been looking forward to.

No, but I hope sharing fond memories of both will lessen the heartache somewhat. And it is nice that your family members are coming together.

Dave, I hope you are all able to share happy memories of Diane and Patty. Good to hear you will be with family as you remember the two lovely and loving ladies. Hugs to all.

It will be a tough Sunday for sure. The toughest part, I am guessing, will be leading up to it. Once you are surrounded by family and love it will be much better.
