If my barbecue parts arrive today from Amazon, I can get the BBQ put back together and ready for the season.

I have four casement windows on the home that I need to clean and lubricate from the outside. This involves cleaning all of the weatherstripping and lubricating the operators to prevent them from breaking. Once the operator breaks on a casement window it costs a good buck to replace them, and they can be a pain to service.

What do you use for lubrication?

Had a great time at Cars n Coffee yesterday. Weather was great but we did have less of a turnout than we did last month, it was a Saturday this month versus a Sunday last month don't know if that is making a difference. A few new cars showed up including an all original 72 Caddy Calais originally from Texas, it wasn't mint had some patina really cool. Also a newer Lexus coupe which I wasn't familiar with it was a LC 500 I believe nice looking car and a C-7 Grand Sport which the C-7's have been growing on me.

Thanks for the info and the link, Grant. I will add this procedure to my list of possible treatments to explore if rehab and/or anti-inflammatory meds prove ineffective and future major attacks like the one last Friday reoccur.

An old school window guy I know used to recommend Krown rust spray in an aerosol, I just used a Rust Check product that is a bit thick so it doesn't drip everywhere. On my slider window tracks I only use silicone spray lube, it would work well on casement window operators too and not attract dirt build up. Silicone works well on weatherstripping too.

This will make you feel better Mike. I was working in my garage today and fell off my ladder. I was on the fifth rung and it slipped out from under me. I fell face down on top of it. Cuts on my knees, arms, hurt my thigh and left side. No rib damage, I think. Icing both areas. I might not be playing golf tomorrow.

Hurts to read it. I need to get on a ladder to check the voltage on a doorbell transformer. I've been putting it off for several days.

Be very careful Dave. Us older guys should stay off of ladders.
