Giving the back a rest today stayed home, on the Futon listening to leaf blowers outside. Dropping off the S for inspection tomorrow hoping to at least give it a good wash on Friday, it still looks pretty good as I always give it a full detail before storage. I normally give it a coat of wax when I take it out but not sure my body is up to that right now. Will be taking it to cars n' coffee Sat. morning.

Detailing a car was always back-breaking work for me, it isn't hard work but just the angles you have to lean over for long periods of time. Hope you are feeling better soon Rob, and nice to hear of the S2000 ready for the season, sounds like fun.

Thanks bud. I have a stool that I can sit on for part of the process but I don't want to push it.

I ordered new tires from the Tire Rack for my MGA as the current are 10 years old. Today I spent the entire day power washing and detailing the wire wheels with four different kinds of tooth brushes to remove grease, road tar, and grime so I can paint them tomorrow before taking them to the installer. I used Westley's white wall cleaner to remove the tough stuff - I got that tip from a buddy years ago and one spray bottle seems to last forever. Tomorrow should be perfect for painting, high 62 with 5 mph wind. We have a meet Saturday so I'm hoping everything will be wrapped up and back together by then. But, if not, it's really the people that matter.

It is true that it is about the people. I always spend more time talking with the people than I do looking at the cars at car meets.

Funny you should mention that. I've spent at least 4 years trying to find a silver paint that is not a shade of gray. Thanks to our gov't saving us they forced the paints that use to be close to chrome off the market. Krylon has come out with a Metallic Silver indoor/outdoor paint that I tried on a spare wire wheel that I think will work. TBD.

Dave, you can always get a wrap done.
We were at a friends last week and they had both of their cars wrapped and they really looked fantastic.

Hum, it would take an engineer to figure out how to wrap each wire on a wire wheel . . there are 60 of them.
