Saturday is my big charity event. So, this week has been lots of finalizing things, writing, printing and correcting what was written and printed -- all to get ready for the attendees to drop lots of money in the register.

We have over 200 prizes to win, plus gift bags and boxes of free stuff.

If all goes well, we'll raise about $75,000 to help Make-A-Wish NJ and the kids in our area.

Thanks to those of you who've jumped in to help. It's appreciated.

Nothing. I found out I have two more weeks of doing nothing with my foot in a cast. I can only hobble.

Ugh - getting old, huh?

So far Fri is the only plan. Taking a water taxi from Georgetown to Old Town Alexandria with a friend, having lunch, then taking the Metro back. Nice to see monuments, etc from the river.

I better try to get rest this weekend coming. I worked outdoors all weekend and it was cold and wet, I woke up this morning all full of aches. I need more rest and less outdoor work. Tendonitis in my hands is easing up a bit, my blown up bursa appears to have gone down. Rest is good.

I’ve been having some pretty serious back pain for the last few weeks so if I make it through this week I’m hoping to clean up the S and take that to our second cars n coffee meet of the year on Saturday.

If it's fine, I'm planning to move a trough from one side of a paddock to the other.
If it's raining I'm planning to move the temporary kitchen from one end of the garage to the other.

I fully expect to achieve neither, as something else will undoubtedly come up.

Lots of "get better" plans on here. I'm there with you. Hoping my own back issues subside enough to do something...anything this weekend.

I just questioned your ailing in the other thread. What did you do to your back?

As to the weekend, Saturday I'll attend the spin class, then I have been requested to keep a little girl company for about an hour or so. My sister's "quasi" granddaughter will be with my sister Saturday AM and my sister has a funeral to attend.

Sunday's weather looks nice, we'll hit the road to somewhere........

The recent interior house painting we had done has prompted us to go on a purging binge. It's amazing how much junk seems to accumulate after 23 years! As luck would have it, our HOA is holding their annual neighborhood yard sale this weekend, so we plan to try to unload a bunch of the flotsam and jetsam we have identified.

A boring suburban weekend.
