One thing about the Florida Keys is that there are some funky smells throughout the entire chain of keys, if I'm not mistaken it is mostly from rotting seagrass , the smell can be very strong and large amounts of seagrass are everywhere.

I think this may be the first weekend where most of the house projects are finally nearing completion. I was able to get two screen doors installed this week. I just finished rebuilding my fifth and last window well drain this evening. It drives me crazy when contractors don't do things properly, my OCD goes into over-drive when I see stuff like that. I also rejigged the home exterior fresh-air vent so I can use a filter in it, the pollen and allergens this time of the year are causing our son to be stuffed up and displaying signs of allergies.

Joey, you have gotten a lot done in a very short amount of time. You have not been in your new home very long at all.

You are a very fast worker!

Thank you, we have gotten a lot done in a short amount of time. We had a long list of things that we wanted to do, and then we found about a dozen items that needed to be done which we didn't count on doing. But we are pretty much at the end of the list, thankfully.

Joey, if you get bored you can come for a visit. I'm sure my wife can come up with a list.

This weekend I'll be riding my new E Bike. Just rode it home, traffic scared the crap out of me.

Trek bikes are on sale through April 30, if you have thought about getting an electric bike.
Was it fun? Harry Cash has an electric bike, too.

I suggest wearing bright colors to be seen. I ride on two-lane roads with no shoulders, most of the time. I wear bright pink or yellow-green tops/coats. When I drive on those same roads it's hard to see bicyclists who wear black or grey until I'm close to them. Sometimes I'll use my tail light. I use the brightest setting and have noticed I get passed with more space between the car and me when I do. I had planned to ride today but it's 27*F out with snow on the ground.

I've been wanting to get an e-bike, hope to at some point something on/off road. I have a TREK mountain track from 1995 that served me well. I put it through 100's of downhill mountain rides and it never had any structural issues hopefully they still build them as well as they used to.

I kind of dread doing repairs for others, though I do it for family and friends whenever they ask. At my own home seeing something broken or not properly installed drives me bonkers and it needs to be fixed immediately, like an OCD compulsion I've developed in the last couple years. My wife will tell me we don't need to rush to fix something but I need to get it done asap, I wasn't always like that.

I refer to myself as a white collar bloke, I really have no formal mechanical skills or training whatsoever. But I bought enough automotive tools and renovation tools over the years that I can pretty much fix anything on my cars or home. The first time my wife looked into the engine bay of my Honda Civic and seen the motor missing she was completely shocked that I did it, she still tells that story to friends, lol.

I have a bright safety yellow/green vest that I wear when I ride my e-bike around the neighborhood. If they are going to hit me at least they can see me!
