Turned out to be a good day for the kite festival. DC had been warning people not to drive downtown to see the blossoms, but to take Metro or whatever. Some people did not listen. Fri and yesterday were both awful - rainy, foggy, etc. But people were determined to see the blossoms at their peak. It took as much as three hours to get out of the Tidal Basin and Hains Point areas in a car yesterday. We took Metro today which worked out great. It is a madhouse downtown and the traffic trying to get into DC right now is gridlocked.

It was quite windy but kites were still able to fly. Kids could make kites, so the girls made them and flew them pretty well.

Tomorrow will not be a good outdoor day here. High wind warning for most of the day…up to 65 mph. Sun looks much better. Good since Vito is running the Cherry Blossom 10-Miler in the morning and we are headed to the Nats game early afternoon.

Not much excitement for me this weekend. I do need to get up at some point and change my wall calendar to April. I’m pacing myself.

yup, of course we were only driving about 20 miles but they both started right up and drove well.
My son dropped us at the storage facility. I drove the GT S and Barb followed in the SL63.
I kept looking back at the SL63 thinking damn that's a sexy looking car and she kept looking at the butt of the GTS thinking the same.

Vito was in there someplace…about 20K runners.
