Let’s hope so! I did some dressage when we lived in France. The thing I most remember is my riding master yelling “keeek heeem.” The stables were beautiful stone buildings with an indoor riding ring. Except jumping in there felt like I was going to hit my head on the ceiling.

That is a good deal. Not sure what they do where I work.

I also remember riding with a friend some years ago out in Bluemont. Lovely countryside. However, a plane from Dulles flew over and the shadow spooked the horse. He went one way and I went the other. Fortunately, nothing broken. Just got back on. My ex played polo for awhile here in Poolesville and we used to ride the horses. Is your granddaughter into the horsey scene in Wellington?

They are talking about it ending here next year but politicians need to agree on it. Maybe one of them can go to a Gala and spray paint 'end daylight savings time' on their dress.

I have no clue what else she is into. Like most girls their age their nose is always in their cell phone and I'm sure she and her horsey friends discuss everything horse. I could ask her Mother, she tracks everything Kira goes to on it. My job is to spoil her rotten.

Here's a separate time change topic...

Why do people feel the need to put EDT or EST when describing the time. On any given day - it can only be one of them (minus the midnight to 2 AM window on the actual date of the change). Why can't we just say ET. I don't even know which is which -- really. My computer currently says 10:52 PM. period.

Is it because there are some areas that don't observe Daylight Saving Time?

So, while some areas might be on EDT, the ones that don't observe Daylight Saving Time would still be on EST? That could be important to know when scheduling meetings with people.

Does that make any sense?

I'M ON LEAVE TOMORROW!

Two weeks off to finally get some decent work done around the property. I'll carry on with building the milking shed - I should point out it's not much bigger than a wide single garage, about 20ft x 12ft, but we'll only be milking two at a time. It's (hopefully) a temporary solution, and we'll turn it into a storage shed if/when we build something more impressive.

I have to be at the hospital tomorrow morning at 6:00am. They are going into my left wrist/hand to correct a tendon problem that is causing a lot of pain.

Getting old ain’t for wimps!
