My acrylic pour painting dried. It's on the wall in my bedroom right now. The colors all got darker and the gold really changed from a light beige. I have some shine liquid I may paint on it. I don't know which one it is but Studio Vino gave me a small container.

I like the fact that digital photos are both instant and basically free. I have a crapload of model/serial number photos. Forget copying it onto a scrap of paper that you lose 30 seconds later.
snap the pic and go to the parts store. when parts guy asks the question, pop out the camera/ smart phone.

I'm much the same, it also works in reverse - see the price of something you're shopping around for, take a photo of the price and SKU, then jog on.

They're also a handy magnifying glass now the resolution is so fine on most phone cameras.

My weekend started today, Wednesday. I flew from Denver to Santa Ana in Orange County, CA. It's so nice to see green plants again.

What a nice view your CA house has. How is the construction below you coming along? The warmth must feel good!

I've been cold here due to the humidity. I'm much more comfortable at 40° in dry Colorado air than I am in humid 49° California air. It won't be warm this trip.

The construction is not happening right now. There's a new device on the land to the left of my view and I don't know what it is. I'll get some photos of it on Thursday. Maybe someone here will know. My guess is that it has something to do with surveying the land. I know a huge mound of soil was built and left to settle for a couple of years on the first construction site for homes, and I think that's what's going on below me, right now. I love that it's calm back there right now.

^3-1-2023 in California. It was 49° outside and 59° inside when I arrived at my CA home. Brr!

My local sister had extensive foot surgery. Bunion removal, toes straightened, pins, even a tendon released in her leg. Most painful, but her feet have been bothering her for years. She's not sure if she will have the other foot done. This has been a LOT, however, she has done amazingly well. Hates prescription pain meds, they make her sick, so she has only taken Tylenol. She is braver than I. She had follow up yesterday and stitches removed. No weight bearing for six weeks, and six weeks in a boot. Long recovery.

She's had previous foot/ankle surgeries, so she's a pro at accommodating around the house.

Anyway, the point of all this is that this weekend, we will visit her and get take out for dinner on Saturday. She's been pretty house bound, so enjoys the company.

We haven't been out to eat in a while, maybe we will find a place to go for lunch on Sunday.

I believe that it's to compact the site for future home sites in this case. We're talking major earth moving. This should go in the Odds and Ends Photos thread. You all know how I love to take pictures. But here's an explanation in photos. Oh, and these photos show how far cell phone cameras have improved on good old cameras (Nikon and Canon) since 2008 and 2010.
