Good luck Dave, I hope they can help you and get to the bottom of things, and the wait is short.

thanks. A CT scan showed I have a fractured L4 vertebrae. I guess I won’t be dancing this weekend.

Damn. Too bad they didn't figure that out sooner. So what do you have to do now?

Sorry to hear that Dave. Serious question, what can they do for that?
Thankfully that is one I haven't dealt with.

There is nothing they can do except give me pain pills and it will have to heal on its own. I guess that is good news because I wouldn’t want anyone cutting around my spinal cord. Healing will Take some time for sure ….. month(s) …….old farts heal slowly

definitely a good news, bad news deal then.
it's good news that they don't feel it's necessary to "fix" anything. it doesn't sound like they are worried about further related damage.
bad news is suck it up buttercup, you'll get better sooner or later.

I hope you can get them to at least give you a voucher. Dealing with back pain is not fun. Will a back brace help at all?

We paid the extra in case we did have to cancel the trip so I am not worried about getting our money back; i’d be OK with a voucher if it’s good for more than a year. As for a back brace I am going to try back support Like they use at Home Depot since I already have one.
