Hello everyone! It's been a good week. Monday, I sing with the Harmony Project in Columbus. They did a pilot from ABC last summer, where they went to Springfield, OH (near me), where John Legend is from, to help with the healing of the social and ethnic divide in the city.

Fat Tuesday, I got together with a friend from church, who is a great cook. He made shrimp gumbo for me and a few of his male neighbors. His wife plays drums in a jazz/blues group and had a Fat Tuesday gig.

Wednesday and Thursday was all about church. Ash Wednesday and Small Group, where I had to interface with Wendy. Let's just say uncomfortable.

Tonight and Saturday morning, I'm working a college soccer showcase in Cincinnati. Then, coming back home to see "Jesus Revolution" with Kelsey Grammer and the guy who plays Jesus in "The Chosen".

Sunday is church (another Wendy sighting).

Hoping to have a group drive this upcoming Sunday. I say hoping because it's hard to tell what the weather will do to the roads between now and then. It's bright and sunny at the moment here on the west side of LA, but it rained this morning and will some more tomorrow. And apparently the San Bernardino mountains here in SoCal are under blizzard warning issued by the National Weather Service. Wild!

Tonight - I'm finishing setting up with some others for the NJ Darts Championship that I run tomorrow. 44 Men and 12 Women playing for the 2023 NJ Cricket Championship, Trophy and prize money (about $3K total).

Fortunately, I have a friend who will run the control desk and I get to focus on playing =. This is our 6th year. There have only been 2 winners, Ryan with 4 and Connor with 1. They are both unavailable this year and won't be playing. That guarantees a new, first-time winner and really opens the field to many of us to win.

James Hetfield Flashes His Hot Rods at Monterey

...Hetfield has also lent out “Aquarius,” a 1939 Packard which is of course all curvaceous lines.

Currently on display at the Peterson Automotive Museum are 10 more cars from James Hetfield’s collection. “Reclaimed Rust” will be shown off at the Los Angeles museum until November 7. Several guitars, photos, and other memorabilia associated with the Metallica rocker are included, making it a treat for both car and music fans.

It did but my elephant sneezed and it flew out again.

Got it in the back of the Q7 with 180lb of biscuits for farm dogs, 20lb of biscuits for working cats (pest exterminators), and a whole lot of groceries. Even food can be hard to get locally so I spent $500 on essentials while I was there.

Ended up getting $300 off the generator, and only spent about $35 on diesel. I'll take that deal.
