What plans do you have for the coming Weekend ?

It was, Sue. Christmas spirit isn't my strong suit, but this was fun and it did not take long to put it together. It can work for any budget, or age, with prizes selected accordingly. On line they had $100.00+ under some of the cups. That wasn't my budget.

Lainey we do something similar. Everyone gets a gift bag. All but one have a $1 bill inside but one has a $50. We roll dice to see how many times the bags are moved around the table.

Myself, my wife, and our son will spend the holiday at home, nice and peaceful, no other family to visit this year. A few nice days off work. Quiet and relaxing go a long way with me. Making food will be an important part of Christmas (surprise surprise lol)
My wife told me that she needed a new blender, so I bought her one as her gift. I know some women would be upset getting a blender, but she asked for it, lol. I continually tell my wife not to buy me anything, but she refuses to listen. I don't want gifts but I will get them, I would be just as happy not getting any , but I know the system.

I’m heading to friends for Christmas Eve dinner and looking forward to it. I’m working my regular shift Christmas night which I was fine with but they told me tonight that I need to come in two hours earlier than usual which I am not really happy about. Think I am getting burned out I have worked here almost three years and not even had a week off think it is getting to me but anyway still trying to keep the Christmas spirit.

I hope you're getting extra pay! My daughter and her boyfriend both are zookeepers at the Denver Zoo. Of course, animals need food and care 24/7 but everyone who works on holidays should be compensated. They get shorter hours on holidays. Their days off/ weekends are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Yep. They LOVE animals and don't want kids. The thing is that they are still heartbroken regularly when an animal they've been fortunate enough to work/feed/train has to be put down to stop the animal'a suffering. Also, animals they see deteriorating will die. It's no different than real life with humans, in a way. It IS their dream jobs, though. It's also physically hard on them though, perhaps surprisingly. Considering that they need bachelor's of science degrees to be hired their pay isn't great. They met at the Sacramento Zoo before moving together to work at the Denver Zoo.

Heading over to New Orleans on Thursday for a couple days stay at the Royal Sonesta on Bourbon to celebrate our 50th anniversary.
We have a Bourbon balcony room so we will be able to look down on the tourist rabble and maybe throw a few beads their way. Thursday evening we are hoping to view the lights at City Park and at the Audubon Zoo, weather permitting. Friday evening is a show at the hotel.
