I spent yesterday finishing up the frames around the trees. At 5pm I was hand sawing some wood, using the loader bucket on the tractor as a saw table - remember kids, if you're buying a tractor, make sure you get one with a loader, it's super handy.

I got a bit carried with the final push and managed to smash my right index finger into the steel edge of the bucket, instantly blowing up a blood blister under the nail. The saw went flying and choice words were uttered, loudly.

About 6pm, after deciding to run some wires instead, I stopped paying attention briefly while nailing an insulator to a post, and peeled open the end of my left index finger, to the side of the fingernail. That one bled a lot.

At 7pm I got tired of painting the posts and paddocks red so quit for the day. Had to wrap my left finger in bandaging to stop me bleeding all over the bed. I was paged by work at 2am and it was still weeping.

Today I took the family out for lunch, to give my other fingers more time to be afraid.

Me too! I went to the gym, just because. Started laundry, just because, changed the bed, just because....However, none of these activities are bringing me great joy today.
It's cloudy, not too cold, but outside just doesn't look appealing, nor do the dust bunnies, or other things I've noticed that need attention. Yet I do know I do not want to sit on my backside all day...

At least you were motivated to look.
I realized why I decorate for Christmas later than most people and keep my decorations up later than most people.
It's because I don't feel like going up into the attic and taking them down and vice versa when it is time to undecorate.

My wife is definitely a morning person. It looks like I may be playing the role of supporting cast today.

I found a few things to and turning the oven to the self clean mode didn't require too much effort or motivation.....

Made the 7 hour drive home from Nashville without hitting anything.

Time for a nap. Oh, wait. Almost time for bed.
