I let mother nature rake my leaves, a few good wind storms is all it takes. The leaves that remain are good for winter cover.

We would have an acre or more of 6" or more leaves if we did that and any close neighbors would hate us.

Same here.

I have been raking every day since last Thursday.

We can just rake them to the curb if we want. (That is what I prefer, much easier than bagging!) A leaf truck comes, usually once a week. The leaf truck came last Friday.

I expect it will come again early this week. In past years, it usually came to our street, early in the week, usually on Tuesdays. Hopefully the truck comes before tomorrow when the rain is supposed to come.

At least, the weather has been quite warm. I would much rather rake in warm weather!

The leaves on our three big maple trees and one honey locust tree in the front are almost all down. There are still lots of leaves on trees on the side and back of the house.

This is Marine Corps Marathon weekend, live for the first time since 2019. Always a big deal here. Probably will watch some of the runners go by up the street on Sun. Vito has run it four times over the years but now does half marathons and other distances. Next is a Turkey Trot on T-Day.
