I.M.O. they are not really reducing emissions just spreading them around as now I need to place another order for a wallcharger which now needs to be packaged and shipped seperately. If they really cared about recycling/emissions they would make it so that all their chargers fit all their phones. I still have the wallcharger from my I-6 that I saved figuring I could use it when I got another phone but they changed it so the old chargers don't fit.
Saved the planet my @$$... it's about the bottom line.

Isn't that what the EU mandated earlier this year. A common USB-C connector for all devices?

And, as long as the connector doesn't change, using your old one instead of buying a new one is fine. If my earphones work and the cable didn't change, I don't need "ANOTHER" new one, I can use the old one. This isn't a cut and dry situation. Can't tell you how many sets of earphones I have collected, and cables that are duplicative. I'd be happy to save the $10 and not get them included sometimes.

Hey Gary as Ed McMann used to say "you are correct sir" and I will add you are the man! It's my own fault for not trying it as I was told it wouldn't fit but just tried my old charger and it fits fine!

The new cord that came with new phone won't fit in the old I6 charger block it has a different connector but the old I6 charger end that goes into the phone fits so it works.

so now you don't get a charger with your phone and have to buy it sperately.
They send the cord with the new phone so you get half of a charging system depending on how you look at it.

I have two sets of snows sitting in the driveway that need to get mounted and balanced.
In one respect I sort of miss little 13 inch rims and 145 tires. it was a lot easier to stuff them into a car.
These 275-55 R19s are huge especially when you have the old set, still on rims and the new tires.
The stack is a good 4 ft tall. the other set isn't much smaller with 255-45 R19's.

and of course the lawn is tall.

I kept mine in what would be classified as my dining room on an extra coffee table that I have.
