I know he was a talented wood worker, Patty. Will he continue to do that from time to time, or don't you know/care?

Ouch...how old is he? Old enough for SS? I don't think so?
Anyway, our weather is still nice for February and weekend looks good. I'm going to hunt down some color at a green house somewhere, maybe here.
I need to see flowers!

Things are hopping around my neck of the woods, These 2 weeks are the last big vacation weeks of the winter and everything is packed. They split school vacations between states, The big one is when the kids are off from n.y. n.j. and ct. I think that vt and n.h. are off a diffrent week not sure of ct mass. and r.i. but judging by the licence plates I saw last week was jersey and new york. Good sign for the economy as it seems to get busier every year but I keep thinking back to 2000 when the market tanked things changed real fast around here I saw a lot of people who lost everything.

Headed to Ford's Theater on Fri to see Silent Sky. Here is the synopsis:
"A decade before women gained the right to vote, Henrietta Leavitt and her fellow women “computers” transformed the science of astronomy. In the Harvard Observatory, Leavitt found 2,400 new variable stars and made important discoveries about their fluctuating brightness, enabling fellow scientists to map the Milky Way and beyond."
Should be interesting.

Mardi Gras weekend coming up. Probably won't do much of anything until Tuesday when we head to New Orleans. Last couple of years we have hung out in Meringue (pronounced MAR-e-nee. geaux figure) and plan to do the same this year. It's an old neighborhood just east of the French Quarter. We've had enough of the big parades over the years like Rex, Bacchus, Zulu, etc. Out in Meringue they have the Saint Ann's walking parade where people just show up in various costumes and walk the parade route. There are a few "floats" but they are small and mostly just there to act as traveling saloons for groups of marchers. It's just enough of a madhouse to be fun without the chaos and commercialism of Mardi Gras doings on Bourbon and Royal in the heart of the Quarter.
