Cancelled day one of our vacation. We may still drive up in the rain and have one rainy day, while there, but after that, weather looks good. I know long range forecasts are not exactly reliable, but when one sees nothing but clouds and showers for days..............It is nice to be retired and be able to switch these things around to suit us!

LOL It has been longer than usual this summer. I just got it cut a few weeks ago and the barber said to me I don't have to ask you if you have been busy I can tell you have been by your hair
The stuff that comes out of the drain reminds me of the cranberry sauce that comes in a can it is the same consistency.

I washed the GTS and the ML today.
The ML is weird, They have so many inside outside areas.
Areas under the doors and under the hatch lid but are subject to all of the crud accumulating there.
Of course being diamond white everything shows up.

We played in a scramble to day. Some of the distances will look screwy compared to par but that is because they are very uphill or downhill.
Example #9 literally used to be a ski slope. 11 is back up that hill.
The front nine we were cooking until we got to 6 and there was a 4 foursome backup, sitting for 20 minutes a hole really messed up.
We got on the bogey train for 3 straight holes. When we got on the back side things started moving a little better.
But it was just a scramble... but back to back eagles and 6 threes in a row were kind of cool.

I displayed our S2000 in the Meadowdale Raceway car show in Carpentersville IL yesterday. It’s a low key run what ya brung event with many more drivers than trailer queens. I just gave the car a good bath and actually put on the semi-rigid boot/tonneau cover for the third time in 7 years! Otherwise I enjoy just driving it. Ours was the only S2000 on display.

The location is the old Meadowdale Raceway in the northwest Chicago burbs. The track was active from about 1958-68. Now it’s a forest preserve with a substantial mountain bike trail system my son in law and nephew regularly ride on. Surprisingly quite a bit of the old track asphalt still exists. The car show is actually held on the old main straight and pit asphalt.

My wife and I are off to our favourite B&B in our region. It is a pretty big B&B with 47 rooms and a fantastic restaurant. It is my birthday, I don't care to celebrate birthdays but I don't miss a chance to get away.
