I am jealous Ray. I know I have a par round in me but I don't think I will see it until after I retire and can start playing routinely.
My short game, which is largely touch, was pretty woeful. My driver and I were on pretty good terms yesterday.
rather frustrating to lay out a 299 yard drive (GPS measured) down the middle on a 365 yard hole, then take 2 chips to get on and another 3 putts to get down.

Update: Enchiladas were really good but the wife didn't like her margarita's; the salsa was good but they chips were nothing to write home about. The Mex rest that's just up the road will continue to get our business. Didn't see any fireworks because the wife insisted we get home to walk the dog before it rained and of course it never did rain. Still beats a day at work.

Apologies for not having posted in this forum for a while. This weekend we’re on our annual trip to our friends’ cabin on the Cisco Chain in the Michigan UP. We’ve been coming up here in July/August for about 12 years. The best trip up here was a few years ago when both our daughter and son brought their then respective fiancés. We were all just one big happy family. This year only our son in law was able to join us. He road his Triumph Tiger 6 hours to get here this year.

it’s just nice and peaceful here. The peaceful easy feeling starts just north of Wausau. Great after a long stress filled stretch at work.

Went to San Francisco yesterday to stay cool and shop for a present for the wife’s 75th birthday. It was 75 vs. 96 so we stayed cool, but instead of a gift for her, I brought home a pair of shoes. Fail.

My weekend is winding down back to the salt mines tonight. Haven't left the property since Friday, just relaxed caught up on some reading and stuff around the house. Ready to head out into the world again.

Well done, Ray!!!!
I'm just hoping to shoot my age someday...maybe when I turn 90.

Dinner should be about eating, less talk I always say. When I first met my wife's family they always did more talking than eating at the table, it took some getting used to as my family was the reverse, lol. Enjoy what's left of the evening.

I tried to suggest the topics of sex and religion would be OK, but it was too late.....
