It's chaos around here already, had a Tesla pass me in heavy traffic doing about 85, gotta' say they do handle pretty good the driver whipped a corner going from one highway to the other and there wasn't much body roll. Saw another guy in one of those Mercedes Sprinter vans doing about 90 while talking on a phone he was holding, again in heavy traffic, so I'm planning to stay in the next couple of days and relax.

Hope this didn’t post earlier. Busy day as great auntie in NY. The library, the bakery for a treat, time at a playground ,lunch and a manicure. I think Clara is enjoying my visit. I will need to rest on part of the weekend. So happy I was able to lend a hand here. These are my sisters grandchildren. Though she is gone I think I owe her a favor or two. It’s my pleasure to spend time with her son and his family. I’m only caring for Clara. Her brother is at daycare. Clara was between camp and school

Thanks, Sue. I'm happy to be with them. Clara loves hearing stories of family members. I told her a few about her Dad as a little boy and a few about my sister (her grandmother). She likes to know the connections of family members too. It's sweet. I have one more day of helping out. Tomorrow we may pack a lunch, go back to the park, or the zoo (or both) her choice, and then we will get an ice cream treat.
I still managed almost 10K steps the last two days, not sitting around too much. I'll head home Saturday AM.

going to play 18 today.
I really want to break 80 and keep up with Scoots.
The way I've been playing lately I should break 80 somewhere around the 13th or 14th hole.

Staying home, staying cool. High temp today 105 and going up to 112 by monday. That's just to hot for me anymore, not as young as I used to be and the hot(100 on up) really takes it out of me now.

Shot my first even par round this week. Playing today to see if it was pure luck. Granddaughter and her friend here. Her friend played golf in the U.S. Nationals for her high school. Just hanging close to home today. Insane traffic on the way. Enjoy.

We have to throw an 80th birthday party for my father in-law today. A good bunch of people and food at our place, and we are doing the cooking. My wife offered my cooking services for this event (ain't she nice )

I'm making baby back ribs with a dry rub (4 hours slow and low cooking), garlic shrimp , small local baked potatoes, prime rib steaks, hamburgers, potato salad, coleslaw, fruit tray with local cantaloupe and watermelon, several kinds of cheese dips with crackers , olives and finger foods. My wife made pizzelle cookies and cupcakes, and we got a birthday cake for the old guy. The drinks are simple pop and water, my wife's brother is an alcoholic so no one can drink any booze today, my wife's strict orders....
