OK, Vito is all carbo loaded for the race tomorrow. He had two Guinness at the pub followed by dinner at our fave restaurant on Main St in Annapolis - Cafe Normandie. This was dessert. Did not think we would be able to finish it but the whipped cream and crepe were light. Delish!!

We had such a fun evening. We got invited to a gathering on Long Pond in Lakeville, MA. Long Pond Rick and I both spent a lot of time on the "pond" years ago, but in different locations. Many good memories. I learned how to water ski there. Most of the people there were friends of Rick's from 50 + years ago, and some, in turn became my friends as well
There was one guy Rick really hoped to see. He was there and one of the first things he said was he was still amazed that he and Rick were still alive in spite of themselves and the stuff they did.
He still has a house on the pond and came over in his Pontoon boat. He joked that when they were younger, pontoon boats were for old people. Well, now everyone is old.

He took us for a sunset cruise on the pond. So pleasant and so many laughs over the course of the evening. As it happens, it's the most inside time we've spent with people since Covid (with the exception of my time at the gym). That did make me a bit nervous. Hope all were well. One guy didn't attend as he has Covid and his wife has just recovered from it.

I know a 90+ year old lady who has a blood disorder, and she said that her doctor prescribed one Guinness beer a day. She has been following that regimen for a couple years now and she swears that her blood disorder has stabilized ever since the change.

I like Guinness but I can't drink more than one. I also love crepes and I love anything with real whipped cream.

Great video of the pontoon. Lainey, always smiles when you see friends after many miles I went to a downtown car show last night and over-did-it. Too much walking but we still made it to a local pub and had a good time. Tonight was lots of laughs with neighbors over cards. Life is good.
