I had to drop out this year for obvious reasons.

Today we are meeting up with our best friends at our favorite pub with a large deck on the water. It will be the first time seeing them in some time and the longest drive for me in the MG in a long time.

Tomorrow we plan a short visit with a dear friend who's dying from cancer. That one will be tough and emotional. I'm hoping I can come up with enough stupid things to say to get him laughing.

We leave for Gettysburg tomorrow around lunch. Picking up my MIL and Cindy's niece in Philly. Returning home Monday night.

That is very kind of you Dave, I am sure he appreciated that. I believe you will meet up again some time down the road, and I am sure you want that to be as long as possible though

I got the bike home, the riding mower got delivered, and (drum roll please) I got the carpet and padding ripped up in my office.
New carpet may be installed this Friday or the next depending on delivery.
I have a little prep left to do, removing staples holding the old padding down and running around and nailing every place it squeaks now.
I need to get a carpet protector for my chair. either a cheapy from Staples or go big and get the vitrazza glass mat.

today was full on lazy, as snoop dogg says, the best plans are no plans.

I hate those carpet pad staples, lol. I've done my share of removals.
