What plans do you have for the coming Weekend ?

My father-in-law took a sawzall to his basement wooden banister railing in order to get some furniture moved into the home. I've been tasked (suckered) with the job of getting it safely put back together , aargh !

Yeah my wife has convinced them of that. My wife keeps saying that she feels sorry for them as they have no one to help them, so that immediately puts me on the hot plate, lol.
To be perfectly honest I am a white collar bloke with no training in the use of any tools for any form of manual labour. I have purchased tools and learned to use them over the years out of necessity. It is the same thing with automobiles I can pretty much maintain and repair any parts of my cars, and I have repaired my father-in-law's vehicles in the past too. lol.

It's Pride week! And Pride month. Columbus is celebrating Pride with their annual parade this Saturday. GF (a supporter) will be in the parade with most of her friends, one of which KJs (DJ karaoke) at the local gay bars. After the parade, we're going to the KJs house for a outdoor volleyball tournament and cookout.
Sunday I'll be holding a Fraternal family reunion...first one since 1992. GF will be having a birthday party for her GDaughter, turning 9. She leaves for Canada the next day with her other Grandmother, for a month off the grid at their family cabin.

Getting an early start on the weekend tomorrow by seeing Top Gun: Maverick for the second time on the IMAX screen at the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum. Should be spectacular!
May go to a local Blues Fest Sat. Not sure about Sun yet.

Next weekend there is a Pride event on Sat at a local park. Also, the Folklife Festival is taking place on the National Mall downtown.

I do my best to have fun during the week when most people are working, not on the weekends. Yesterday I drove through Rocky Mountain National Park in both directions. I got a 9 am to 11 am timed-entry pass, online ($2), just to go hike and look around on my own but since my sister and brother-in-law were on the eastern side of the park at Grand Lake glamping in their 5th wheel, I drove straight to Grand Lake to see them (70 miles). I ended up exploring a bit on my way home. Why hurry home when you're in natural splendor? The Fall Creek RMNP entrance station is 29 miles from my front door and took 45 minutes to get there.

^6-15-2022. I had planned on driving my 2007 S2000 but the gas was at about 1/5th a tank. Drive the 2017 Pilot or 2017 NSX? Did I buy the NSX to hold value or to drive? Easy decision, once I thought about it.
Oh, I guess I should mention it was a blast to drive! Duh. I found some passing lines on Trail Ridge Road when I got stuck behind people doing 25 MPH in a 35 MPH zone. Easy peasy, red rocket. So much fun!
