Last summer we had a memorial for my SIL at a winery. Lots of talk about her, visiting with others we hadn't seen for a while, then words spoken by kids and niece. Nice way to do it.

We are having beautiful weather and tomorrow is the Bay Area Mercedes Club First Sunday Drive. We meet at Peet's coffee, drive for a couple hours, ending in the delta at a mansion for brunch. Should be a lot of fun.

This weekend is Lost Dutchman weekend in Phoenix. Headed out Fri return Mon. Seeing friends and family including adorable grandnieces whom we have not seen since Sept. The +1 is running the Lost Dutchman half marathon on Sun in Apache Junction. Weather looks great, unlike three years ago when they had the worst weather ever out there - torrential rain with flooding, high winds and cold temps. It was awful. Thank goodness there will not be a repeat of that!

I'm trying to make my weekends start on Thursday night these days...I'll be going to the Boat show tomorrow afternoon, which is Wednesday, so I'm trying for an extra early start this week. Thursday evening is poker night, Friday we head down the cape for another weekend of wrenching, painting and other fun in the big garage. Saturday night we are going to dinner and a comedy show at the Coonamessett Inn.

I see there is a train show in Wilmington so may go. I am not a train enthusiast but do admire the skill and labor some people put into their set ups.
