The second phase of my tiling job is being done today in our home. It needs to cure and set 24 hours before I can move to the next phase due to the shape of the bathroom. Slow going and I can only work on it on weekends. The wife says it looks good though, so that's all that matters. lol Did I mention this is back-breaking work ?

^ You are very handy at projects. I, on the other hand, am very handy at calling people to do stuff for me. I am good at design, though, and pick out/buy everything to be installed.

FINALLY got the S out today after 6 months. Put the charger on it, checked the fluids, let it run for a bit and ended up putting 20 easy miles on it, felt great. This car always impresses me it is 19 years old this month and it still feels tight and has no squeaks or rattles.

Thanks very much. My wife does the picking out in the house, and I do the installation. To be honest, by the time I buy all of the tools and materials it isn't all that much cheaper than hiring someone, and it would have been faster to contract it out. I get a bit of satisfaction doing it myself though. That's about it.

That and you know it is getting done right. (OK. In my case not necessarily.)

That is true actually, I make sure that I buy the best thinset and grout, and tiles, you don't necessarily get that when contracting work out.

History has shown I can't blame the materials when tiling.
Although our tile guy is fantastic. I'm exceptionally good at visualizing what I want although it could be he's really good at understanding what I am trying to say.

I had plans to get out the tractor and mow the lawn.
Of course yesterday it did not want to play nice. It only has 60 hours on it.
I put in new plugs, an air filter, a new fuel filter, drain and replaced the fuel.
I also recharged the battery overnight. This morning it fired right up and ran for about 15 minutes.
I got about 1/4 of the back yard done and it said F*** you.
Tonight I figured out it popped off a drive belt around the time it died which of course could be a remarkable coincidence.
I can't find any sensor that would kill the engine if I dropped a belt.
I'm guessing maybe it knocked off a sensor or wire.
I will be turning in my man card. I have spent half the day reading the directions.
Nothing brings you closer to your equipment than when it doesn't work.

This coming weekend I will be attending my oldest grandson’s graduation from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee NC, which, coincidentally, is only a few miles from the Dragon. So, even though it is a bit out of the way, on my way home Sunday I may have to give my new (to me) S a taste of what it was built for! Bea will not be going since she will be taking her 92 year old mom to her high-school reunion that weekend. So, his dad graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, and I graduated from NC State University in Raleigh, so between us we have the state covered.

This past weekend was a sports weekend...baseball Saturday morning and soccer Sunday morning/afternoon. Celebrated a friends 39th birthday and said goodbye to a longtime German American soccer official. Sang karaoke with Wendy Sunday night.

Early weekend start with the rededication of the Netherlands Carillon. Nice day before rain the next two. We met the superintendent for the project who has commuted from Va Beach (where the general contractor is located) up here for the project. Guess he is probably happy it is over. Nice guy. Probably will see him today.
