Yes the Mystic River flows through about 6 or so towns in the Boston area. I saw the movie and read the book and thought both were good. I like Dennis LeHane's work.

I've been inside Mystic Pizza, the real one, not the one used in the movie. But I don't recall ever laying eyes on the Mystic River., unless that's the one that flows through Mystic CT.

Just checked Google Maps. The Mystic River does flow through Mystic, CT.. (Go figure.) So I have crossed it several times while staying in a B&B in Mystic while visiting my brother in New London.

I recently read Shutter Island which was written by LeHane but haven't seen the movie yet.

Sporty played soccer in the morning, but still had lots of energy. She is in pink in this pic. Climbed all the way to the top with no problem - 5 yrs old.

I was more nervous at the playground with the grandchildren than my own. Part of being younger, I guess.

I was thinking about you on Friday when the winds picked up in Loveland around 1:30 pm.

That is dad on the left side in the pic, keeping an eye on her. She is very adventurous and has been since age two when we took her to an indoor kiddie gym and she was climbing up to the top of everything and jumping off a lot of it. Posh is more hesitant but does do quite a bit. She is more the ballet girl. Has a recital later this month.
