Plumber said, "Neither did I when I was a doctor."

Good luck.
I've almost always done my own plumbing fixes until I reached an age where I said I am not getting down there, twisting my body around to fix that damn thing. I've had a plumber out three times this year. Murphy's law, all the issues at one time in the same year. $118 an hour was the rate. No complaints. He replaced the thingamajig and its all good.

it's old and has been periodically leaking/popping off.

Of course I should get ambitious and replace the controls on it since the temp swings are too high.
Or should I say it is just to hot over set point.
I have replaced the T&P three times. I figured it was time to get to the bottom of the problem.

When it is time to replace this tank I expect to go with a tankless.

This is the first house I have owned with all plastic (CPVC) plumbing and it makes me nervous. I would have preferred copper but that wasn't an option.

My college soccer showcase was cancelled, due to the impending weather and cold temp (game time temp at 8am would have ben 15 degrees). So, I'm planning to spend time with the GF and her granddaughter.

We are leaving for a family vacation, to Cancun, at the end of the month.

Oh...the 944 has a buyer!

I would have a really hard time getting my wife to buy a house with any form of plastic on the supply side.
Of course she doesn't know the feed from the well is PVC until it hits the pressure tank.

Love it, but it's time to pass it on.

Need a daily driver (thinking a mid-2010's CR-V).

I am guessing Vito will bag the race. Forecast has deteriorated to 3-7" of snow and winds to 55 MPH. Blizzard conditions between 8-11 AM. The race starts at 9. It certainly would be interesting assuming he could stay upright.

I was surprised that they didn't use PEX. I have worked with CPVC for years and have no real problems with it but I was amazed to see it used any other place than in an industrial setting.. It is hard to find a supplier with a good selection of fitting around here. I had to buy some thru Amazon.
