Ok, so we made our reservations and the waiter looks at my picture . . . he thinks its Lobster/Shrimp stuffed Cod . . . but he's not real sure. Since it sounded likely I ordered it. No way, what I got was, excuse my French, but shit. I've had Summer Sausage for $6 which tasted ten times better. Oh well. Thankfully the wife enjoyed both the shrimp wrapped in bacon with BBQ sauce appetizer and the Sea-Bass meal she ordered. Happy wife - happy life. When we left I showed the picture to other staff people. They didn't know; so what ever it was for $40 it's not on the menu now.

Sorry you did not enjoy your meal. Ours on Christmas Eve at the new steakhouse up the street was excellent. Def go back. This weekend is of course NYE and lots of football. Sadly, we are not going to the Willard for the International Club NYE bash, which we really loved last time. But DC is now an Omicron hotspot, along with a lot of other places, so we are celebrating by going to our local yummy Italian pasta place for NYE dinner. Then watching Andy and Anderson bring in the New Year. They were very funny last time I saw them and got drunk downing shots. It will be weird with only 15,000 people in Times Square.

I really enjoy ham, and ate plenty of it yesterday. Will enjoy the leftovers too!
No weekend plans. Tuesday night we are supposed to enjoy a little blast from the past with couples from days gone by. A dinner out. I'm unsure on the deal now, even though as far as I know, all are vaccinated and likely boosted since all are 60+.
Went to the Y this AM, hoped to head out with my camera after lunch, but the gray skies are already back.

I had a food "hangover" yesterday. Had dinner with friends on Christmas Eve and only had one helping of everything but they were big helpings. We had prime rib and roasted carrots and potato's and stuffed mushrooms, a sausage dish made with Ah So sauce, spanakopita and Trifle for desert. Didn't eat again after that until early afternoon yesterday.

Subaru's notorious crappy battery has reared it's ugly head as soon as cold weather arrived, I'm replacing the battery today, I'd rather not go through Subaru as they just give you a new crappy battery, getting stuck on the road sucks.

Historically we are not big New Years Eve party people. I will stay up but don’t look to go out.

This year we have been invited to 2 parties, both within short walking distance. Funny thing is we will probably be the oldest at one party and youngest at the other.

It was always a bit slow to turn over and I've read these cars can have parasitic draw issues and the batteries aren't big enough. I just replaced it with a 640 CCA battery, I think the original factory batteries were 500 CCA or less, and the new Subaru replacement batteries are 550 CCA.

Wendy and I exchanged one gift on Christmas Eve. This is what she gave me!

As a nurse, she had to work Christmas Day and the day after, plus today. Our plans for New Year’s include a family Christmas dinner on Thursday. We had scheduling issues getting all three of our kids together.

New Year’s Eve will be spent at home. We will have Wendy‘s granddaughter with us. Wendy also has to work New Year’s Day and the day after. Such the life of a nurse!
