Back from 10+ days of Mexico, Florida and Thanksgiving! *wow* turning 54 was never supposed to be this much fun!

I'll post some pics of the trip on another post.

Celebrating my daughters 53rd birthday and successful passing of a very difficult test for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. In 2 weeks she will start working for a business that helps counsel people with mental issues. She currently works for Hospice but after many years there she is burned out dealing with end of life counseling. She now wants to help the living. She has always wanted to help people with problems since she was in High school. We are very proud of her.

This weekend will be dedicated to all my recertifications for US Soccer... as a Regional Emeritus Referee and as an Assessor (now called Referee Coach).

But, this week... I get my COVID booster from the Military, find out how soon I can get dental implants (had my uppers extracted in July) and my next Invisalign treatment (for my lowers).

Wendy is working those crazy hospital nursing schedules, as usual. I snuck over Sunday night and spent the evening with her, after she got off work at 8 pm.

Boy oho boy, we are kicking off the weekend by playing Eucher and having a deep dish pizza with our much younger neighbors - we have lots of laughs and Beam/wine so it is really a good time. Then Saturday is Donna's birthday. Because all three of the grandsons are working (God bless them) we determined we need to have an early lunch so everyone can be there - - probably at Applebees - we all have one don't we? But for dinner I am thinking her and I going to a good sushi restaurant we like. Then come Sunday it is an all day party, Xmas party, with the local MGA club. Great free meal all catered in and we play the game that anyone can take the gift anyone prior opened! It is fun. So it should be a good weekend, and as Donna always remindes me "Don't see how much you can drink!"

The production was very good. Different than the old movies on TV. And of course Ford's Theatre is an iconic venue.

Happy birthday to Donna! Have a great time!
Our friend is hosting a thank you dinner for his neighbors and included us. He had damage to his house with the nasty wind/rain storm we had and his neighbors all pitched in to help him clean up, arrange work, etc. Rick helped him figure out and issue with his Corvette and called in a mechanic he used to work with to tend to the issue. I've booked his Covid vaccines, so I guess we were "helpers" too. Guest list dwindled a bit. One vaccinated neighbor has Covid so they are staying away. One invited guest who is not vaccinated declined the invite. I enjoy her company, but I'm OK with her not attending. 5K cases in MA yesterday.
