Our Province approved to cancel daylight savings time a while back and I was so excited by that move, it turns out it is dependent on NY State and Quebec to do the same before it actually gets put into practice. So basically it will not change any time soon.

There has been talk here about getting rid of it but it doesn't appear that is going to happen anytime soon. I think they should for the safety of the school kids, being in a rural area some little kids end up getting off the bus in the dark once the clocks are turned back.

What about the suggestion to go to DST all year long?

I think that is what they are trying to do. As far as the situation with kids going to and from school they are also considering changing the times that the kids go to and from school, for the little ones anyways.

I'd like to sign the petition to stop the changing of the clocks! I hate the day after the clocks are changed. I remember the one year back in the 60's when we didn't change the clocks. It was pretty dark in the AM going to school, and know that's one of the concerns if the clocks don't get changed. I know when I was working it was harder to wake up in the dark before the clocks were changed, but I don't know anyone who likes to see the daylight end at 4:30 in the afternoon.

The group has expanded to include the friend's daughter, granddaughter and cute white fluffy puppy. All adults are vaccinated and some even have boosters!

It was just starting to get dark the last two weeks on my ride into work for my evening job, now it will be totally dark for my commute.

Well, the little dog was so cute and the girls loved him. Cookout good. My spinach stuffed artichoke bottoms were a big hit. We did not play Simon Says. The girls already knew how to play and told me the rules.

Those Artichoke bottoms have me intrigued, I really like Artichokes, but I have never made any at home. I have had the pickled version out of the jar and some out of cans, and sometimes on pizza.

Congress will not let states stay on daylight savings time year round. So if you don’t want to change your clock ever, you have to stay on standard time. I prefer California to stay on DST year round, but guess that won’t happen.
