Those were the good old days. Long gone.

We thought of you and Pok/Jim. If logistics and time were better, we could have met for dinner. You leaving for NC this week?

Our condo is lovely. I can hear the ocean, I can see the ocean right off the balcony. The bedroom is an interior room, no windows, just past the entry. BUT there is a Murphy bed in the living room. I think we may try that out tonight, so I can hear the ocean in the AM.

My youngest sister who lives in SC brought over a very filling salad for dinner. Lots of laughs with her, her husband and my late sister's husband. My other sister who lives here in SC is suffering with a heel spur. That will put a crimp in some of our plans. We sisters are having a hard time staying intact so we can get together.

Not leaving until next Sunday. Looks like it may be a bit cooler than normal on the Outer Banks. Will still be fun!

Celebrating younger adorable grandniece's birthday - she turns five. May go to her soccer game Sat. She is tearing up the field!

Her mother is Navajo so I found some vintage Navajo dolls. The family does try to observe Navajo traditions and language. Fortunately, there are two so her sister can play.

Just found out the soccer coach thinks she is doing so well she is going to play with the older girls from now on. Amazing…I am expecting her to turn pro at any time.

I haven't gone to California since August but I'm flying there on Wednesday for the annual ElliptiGO Headquarters meet and World Championship. Last year, they had the climb up Mt. Palomar but no other gatherings, due to Covid-19. This year is back on and one of the superb riders is hosting the Saturday night dinner at his ocean front La Jolla home. Cool!

Last year on this day I was staying at my son's house in Niwot, CO after being evacuated with Talia, Atticus and Maury from my house. This has been a better year, by far.

The last High School and College soccer matches are Saturday. Sunday, my GF and I are taking her granddaughter putt-putt golfing (she's 8).

Part of the weekend will be fun. More family time, beach time, breweries, a cook out. Sunday the party is over and we hit the road

We'll be heading south on the same road as you heading north for the first 200 miles or so on Sunday. Maybe we'll get a chance to wave at each other as we pass by! We're heading to Ocracoke Island for our annual late October visit. Just hoping the weather stays nice.
