I only had one plan, besides chores. ElliptiGO ride 20 miles for Team 11 that I'm on. It was 97*F. F indeed! It's down to the high 80's now. I guess I'll get out there with my lights so when I finish in the dark I won't get smashed.

I'm getting smashed for you. Nothing else to do; but I did do the Tour of Italy tonight from Olive Garden but that doesn't count as getting out does it?

Had a pleasant top down drive to reach NC today. We enjoyed a very pleasant dinner with Rick's nephew. Dined outside and visited for a while outside at the hotel. Very comfortable weather. It was good catching up with him.

Nice view when dining on grocery store salads. Easier to pack a lunch, stop when you want and this lunch spot was most pleasant. On the Blue Ridge Parkway in VA.

Sat morning I am showing the Perkymobile after being invited as part of a Cars and Coffee here. Just had it inspected, oil changed and cleaned at the dealer so it will be looking its best.

^^^I'm doing the same Sun. afternoon. We are having a car show at the retirement home where I work so I'll be showing the S. If the weather cooperates I'm going to try to do a full detail on it and also get a new tire on it by the end of the week.

Riding 50 miles in the 35th annual Amish country tour ride with my son in law on Saturday. I used to do 100 miles but at age 77 I have cut the mileage in half. It is a beautiful ride through rustic Amish farmland. The kids in their Amish attire are everywhere and always wave to us. You have to be careful as the Amish ride the roads in their horse and buggy’s So we always look out for horse droppings along the route. The last stop is at an Amish farm house where the Amish ladies bake home made pies. 1 slice per rider but we always beg for a second slice and always get it. After 50 miles it is a real treat.
