Thanks for the tip. We are doing the tear out and furniture moving ourselves, the rest will be left to the professionals. Home developers will slap anything together, then future buyers like us deal with it down the road. We will do this right as I don't want to revisit the issue again.

We're with you, Dave. We generally stick close to home on holiday weekends. Not worth the traffic or the $$ to stay away from home. Years ago, I had sisters who lived in NH and VT, and from time to time, we'd head to one of their homes to hang out.

Travel is easier once retired, mid week, less crowd, less expensive.

With the exception of a trip to RI to check out a different area, and dinner at my sister's last evening, we've mostly been home. Don't have Covid, but no one came over anyway.

So, had a good weekend up in the Berkshires. Stayed in Southfield, just next to Campbell Falls Park (for a map reference.) There were two small bridges out, so every time we left the house, it was a bunch of detours that turned a 5 minute drive into 30. Plus, lots of gravel roads. Glad we didn't take the S for that part - I think getting there, we spent about 7 miles on gravel roads to get to the house. Ugh....

Beautiful area. Would have enjoyed the S tremendously on some of the winding roads around the mountains.

Did a small market Friday and one waterfall on the way up. Some wineries and the Norman Rockwell Museum Saturday, and Sunday I went out to some falls as it was raining a little.

Was hoping to see some black bears, but no luck. Did see 2 S', both in the same area, one Friday (Silverstone) and one Monday (Spa). Both near Rt 7/44 intersection.

I'll get some falls pics up eventually.

Having lunch today with two former longtime co-workers. One I see often. The other I have not seen in a few years. So should be fun.

Birthday dinner with the family tonight for Virginija at the Lithuanian Club. Her birthday is tomorrow. Then just she and I out for dinner somewhere tomorrow evening. She has yet to choose the place. We're a little sad, though, since Anika isn't with us this for the celebration,

Having some friends over for some Texas Hold 'em tonight. Tomorrow is live music at one of our favorite venues. Sunday is a celebration/remembrance honoring a close friend who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly a couple months ago. RIP, Reo. We will lift a glass and cheer "Who Dat" in your honor.

Feel better. We have begun our roadtrip to NC. Nice top down day with little traffic. Settling in in MD for the evening.

I had plans to go to the last big all British car show on Sunday - that was kinda my target from the beginning. Plans don't always work out.

Mike, Lainey, etc. I'm glad yours are working out.
