Had a surprise visit from my ex husband today. He was in town visiting some family members of his and dropped by. It has been about five years since I have seen him. He lives in Charleston SC now. We get along fine and he likes Vito so it was pleasant.
Weather is supposed to be improved tomorrow. May check out a car show in RI (likely older cars, but that's OK), after that a ride to a brewery Rick wanted to check out. Will have a late lunch or dinner while we are out.
Normally I wouldn’t even mention this but its been so long since we’ve taken a trip, even a small one in the MG, I thought I’d post it. We’ve logged 1,000 miles this year but it doesn’t feel like we’ve been anywhere. We’re off to a Birthday Party west of Grand Rapids. Its our club’s 45th birthday. Heck, I even polished the car.
The following day we are going to Shipshewana, IN. A tourist spot with about 700 Amish. They serve some really good meals and we always enjoy visiting it at least once a year. And then there's that fun pub on the way home. This will be Roxy's first sleep over at a dog-care-place; hope it goes well.
Looks good Dave. 1,000 miles is a decent amount for a car you don't drive daily especially when you account for all the crappy weather this driving season. I've only put about 2,000 or so on my S this year but if feels like I have put on more just haven't taken any long trips with it.
Hope you have a wonderful time, Dave. You certainly will be sporting a beauty of a classic.
We hit two live music venues this evening. One was a poor man's Jimmy Buffet tribute. (They were actually pretty good.) The other was a very good jazz quintet. Enjoying it while we can. Lockdown is coming, I'm sure.
