This Saturday, Anika will graduate from Hershey Montessori School in Huntsburg, Ohio. This has been her home since she was less than 3 years old. She is among the first 50 students in the world to graduate from a Montessori school that caters to children from birth to 18 years of age. and is located, as Maria Montessori wanted, on a working farm.
She did not like the photos provided by the school photographer, so she paid a professional equine photographer to come up with something better:

She was horse manager for her middle school years. This horse is named Clay, and Anika will miss him terribly.

We will have a party for her on Sunday in a friend's outdoor pavilion - a covered area with seating for about 60, a bar, grilling area, and firepit, situated right next to a running creek. Anika is a nature girl, so this will be fitting.

Virginija and I are very proud of our girl. Those of you who have met her, can see that she's come a LONG way......

I'm amazed and impressed. You three were at my home in CA many years ago. If I was on my PC and not my phone I'd find photos.

What does she want/plan to do now?

This fall she starts at THE Ohio State University, studying Psychology.

From the tiniest school on the planet (8 in her graduating class) to one of the largest!

Default picture of Anika at Carmen's house

If my memory is correct, that meet was one of our first drives on Route 26. We had recently bought our S2000, and I remember Jonas and Virginija on Carmen's deck as they were teaching Anika some Lithuanian words for some of the snack items. I think Tomcatt and his wife were also at that drive event. Jonas, am I correct?
