What plans do you have for the coming Weekend ?

Question on that Dave is where is your Grandson going to ride it? Doesn't look street legal, does he have property at his house he could ride it on?

Dave, it is a good learning tool for him. Let him fix it up and ride around the neighborhood with a helmet.
Robb, yes indeed. I just need to make sure he understand the responsibilities and power from these vehicles.

Robb, he would be riding it in the street of a normal neighborhood and it would be at his mother's house, not even his dad's. Yep illegal. It's actually his dad's mini-bike which he bought for $25 in 1987 to delivery newspapers. Shortly after I felt it was too dangerous for him and I bought him a Honda scooter for papers.
In the 2013/14 time period I decided to get it on the road again and spent about $300 on it - new clutch, new wheel, engine gaskets, brake pads, etc. Afterwards his dad and I both agreed it was too dangerous for his older brother after we both rode it. I've pointed out all the issues but unlike his brother he does not take no for an answer and his debate skills are really pretty awesome, so he almost always gets his way.
Shoe, I agree it could be a good learning tool and a chance to see how mechanical that skill set is. With that awesome collection of your's I think a LOT of coaching may be needed. I know the crazy stuff I did with dad's car . . like racing and no matter how much coaching I did, all three of my kids wrecked their first cars. BTW, good looking boy!

Dave I'd be willing to wager you meant two stroke and 4 stroke.... especially since that looks like a single cylinder.

Ahhhh some normalcy due to Covid vaccines. We made our way to the Syracuse NY area. Through snow, pouring rain, sun and more rain. It was nasty on the road for a while. Saw a nice Lexus SUV off the road, likely driving too fast, thinking the roads were just wet. We took it easy and weren't in a hurry so no problem.
Got to town in plenty of time to stop at a local brewery for Rick to sample a stout, and bought some different beer to take home. Headed to the nephew's house for pizza with him and his family. The kids are adorable and really not shy at all. I thank my nephew for the facetime calls so the kids knew who we were. The little guy almost two is a total ball of energy. The little girl almost five is smart and so inquisitive. I got to do the bedtime routine with her. Three stories then "talk time" for about three minutes. She tried to con me into four books, but I kept to the routine. Our talk time went into OT though, coming in at 12 minutes. I loved it and I'm sure my sister was smiling down on us. Tomorrow we will meet my nephew at the library, I'll entertain the little girl while her brother naps. We'll take off for a bit later in the afternoon and head back to feed them dinner and put them to bed while their parents go out. A rare happening for them as they don't have family near by. Hoping for a trip to the Zoo on Sunday AM. A couple phone pics. I brought my camera and never took it out of the bag. Moving targets!

Oh the pendant I'm wearing is some kind of fused glass. (Fused Dichroic Glass)
Clara was fascinated with it, asked me if she could have it when I was older.

Nice Lainey- If you and Rick haven't been, just a little further are the Finger Lakes and lots of wineries and breweries. Ample small towns and some great short or longer trips to just relax along the water with a drink or two and enjoy the scenery.
Here's about 2 hours into the model

Thanks Gary. We've been in this area in the past. There is more to explore. Not this trip though. Just a family visit for a couple of days. Ricks plants which he starts from seed need lots of attention right now. Can't be gone too long. A trip to the library this AM. Clara loves to have books read to her. Kids wear masks with no issue. She scans her own books. Look at that receipt! Sidewalk chalk art this afternoon. Taking a break at the hotel now. Headed back for our babysitting gig in a little while
