I didn't care for Elijah Craig . . kinda smooth but not a taste I care for. I liked Buffalo Trace . . . more my kinda bourbon.... a good tasting belly warmer. I didn't realize Gentleman Jack was nothing more than Jack Daniels till I got it home. JD will do in a pinch. The TC whiskey is one I brought to the Spring Fling in PA a couple years ago that a few Vintage members got to try.
Thanks, sounds like something I would like I will give it a try. I used to like Bourbon but as I got older I found it didn't agree with me, gave me agita i.e. indigestion.

robb, buy a small bottle at a store and give it a try. At a restaurant some will charge you the price of a small bottle for a glass of it.

It's cold here today. My Y class got cancelled as they needed our studio for something else. I did a virtual work out. Laundry, puttered around, etc.

We have a nice antique secretary desk with the drop top and little cubbies and drawers below. I decided to organize the drawers. I had CD's of lots of pics which are either backed up elsewhere, or truth be told, would be of no interest to anyone else. Tossed those. The drawers also had cords, chargers, and other accessories from phones or two way radios that are no longer in use. I also had a little bag with various adapters. They've never been used, I've never looked for them, so out they went.

My grandson is home alone most of Saturday. Since he's my favorite grandson (I only have one) I often drop off a little fast food from Wendy's for him. He appreciates it and he's at the age he can still eat junk food without too much concern. 14 and growing like a weed. I ran that errand to get out for a bit.

I even spent a little time in the kitchen today. Made a pumpkin bread (from a mix). I'll slice it up and wrap the slices individually. It makes a good quick breakfast in the car on my way to the early AM class at the Y on Sunday. Yes, I eat in the car!

That's my excitement today. Not sure I won't need a nap from all this activity.

Tried the Gentleman Jack, as I expected, I pass that off to my son who spoils bourbon with coke. And, for the final tasting I had some TC bourbon (which they have to call whiskey to honor tradition). Smooth with a good taste. So I am batting 3 out of 5; better than I did in the lottery.

LOL You sound like my Dad. I made a Jack Daniels and coke and he said what the hell are you doing?

Making up my shopping list today the new sales for the week come out Sunday in the digital flyers. Finally lots of good buy 1 get 1 free sales at one grocery store so I'll be able to stock up. Going to one of our thriving metropolis' tomorrow to get the oil changed on the WRX so will also hit the bank and a few stores.

It's President's weekend and week coming up so I'll be hiding out, which isn't much different than every other weekend has been. Was hoping to wash the car but it may be too cold, they close the wash bay when the temp. gets too far below freezing.
I think Patty has the best plans this weekend!
