Jeep Cherokee looks great in Burgundy! Congratulations! Many Happy and Safe Miles Ahead!
I did finally put up our Christmas tree last night. This was a tree my wife bought in Germany in 1998 with my son after I left for Kosovo. She said there were only 2 left at PX, one small and one larger. This was the larger one. Feeling sad after I deployed, my wife bought one of the last Christmas trees to keep my son preoccupied with decorating the tree. We thought about throwing it away year after year but have held on to it so far. Perhaps this year, after the holidays, we might pick up a new pre-lighted one at a decent price and retire this one.
I will be taking down my HO trains and slot car track. I set them up for my granddaughter who loves them. She was here this past week. Then I need to assemble the bicycle we bought for her 4th birthday on Monday.
Just relaxing for me I have been working a lot so it will be nice to have one full day off. I did take the WRX to the car wash and got all the salt cleaned off it so it will be clean as it is resting too. Sent out some Christmas cards too.
Lainey, you should have said you were looking to replace your Jeep, even if you had already bought the new one. We could have had several days of advice about model, color, negotiating etc etc. Look at the TOF thread when he said he was looking for a particular car. ( has he found one to this day?) think of all the posts of wonderful advice you could have ignored.

Well now, I didn't think of that. I could have kept all of you busy during the days at home during Covid madness. Played with voice recognition on the navigation today. It didn't announce all my turns. Will have to check into that. Seat memory is a good thing when one of you is 5' tall (or 4 ' 11 1'2") if my doc is reading the height measuring thing properly. Key fobs are programmed for the seat memory and favorite radio station. Will check and adjust other settings along the way. Free Sirius radio for six months. I had just renewed so I called and asked them to suspend the service for 6 months. Easier than canceling and having to call them again. So when free trial is up, I'll be ready to go with previous plan.
No badging on tail gate except 4 x 4. How will anyone know we bought the good package?

LOL I was wondering the other day if Mike has gotten a car yet.
I've got lots of presents to wrap for my fundraiser. The personal shoppers took care of gift buying and wrapping for three of the children. I have the other four, plus the mentally challenged 23 year old who is in need of everything as she has just been uprooted. My cousin had put together two large size boxes of grocery staples with a gift card in each box so the recipient can purchase butter, milk, etc. and also handed me four other gift cards for a local grocery store. I kept two for the families I've been buying for and gave the other two to my social worker friend who always knows people in need. I must admit, I'm enjoying having a real purpose. I guess I'll put away my "Bah Humbug" hat for this year.
