We are heading to a late outdoor lunch with my two nephews - the one who has just moved back here and the other visiting from Chicago (he drove here for the week). Fortunately, it will be about 57 degrees, so not too cold. The rest of the week will be quite chilly. This is only the fifth time we have been out socially since March, and with COVID numbers rising here, probably will the last until who knows when..

The outing was shorter than I would have liked. It was in the mid 50s but we were in the shade. We did see them, though.

We had a warm day here on Saturday. Four of the Y ladies, including me, met for an outside late AM breakfast at our favorite spot. They we went in and out of a couple shops in the downtown area, spending a few $ to support the small businesses. Everyone is masked and I went into one shop, that was a bit crowded. I should have skipped that one. Don't need to be that close to people.

It was a really nice warm Sat. here as well. I changed the oil on my snow blower (shame on me; it had been 3 years; but the reason was it only got used maybe six times in that period). I changed the oil on the walk behind leaf blower (double shame on me; it was last done May 2019 and I normally try to change it twice every year because its used all the time year round). It felt good to get those chores done plus some final yard work before today's snow came down!

We are finally done with moving. My son and I rented 15' Uhaul truck for two days to move beds, and some large pieces of furniture on Thanksgiving Day and worked fast and furious for 9 days straight to vacate our sold house. We were able to turn the keys 2 days before the promised date. We were able to start unpacking at our new place after that. We finished putting up the blinds on the main floor yesterday. Still, tons of work lie ahead but major muscle moves are done. My wife can't believe we pulled it off. She likes her new kitchen. That's what counts. New washer is coming in today. Hopefully, we will be busy washing all our clothes collected since last Thursday. If I have enough energy, I may put up the Christmas tree to be enjoyed for only 2 weeks.

Going Sun to lunch outdoors at one of our fave local places with the nephew who has moved back here after being overseas for a year. Not sure when we will see his new house. Rest of family (wife and adorable grandnieces) return next week from AZ. They are all very excited to be back here and we are, too!! It will be 62 on Sun with some sunshine, but then we take a dive into the 40s for the near future. So glad we can get this in.

Are you in the DC burbs? I somehow remember you living in VA but now I see MD. And I forgot why you moved.

^ When I first bought S2K, I was living in Laurel, MD. Then I moved to Fort Monroe, VA where I wrecked my S2K. After couple of more sojourn, I am back in MD. I moved from Olney, MD to Frederick, MD. I posted on your kitchen remodeling about our own kitchen remodeling options. We thought better to simply sell and buy a new house. So we sold our house and moved to a new house.
