^ Sounds like a good time. We were both so party'd out we passed up going out tonight. You can count the Friday nights we've stayed home on one hand.

Just boarded the Hatteras/Ocracoke ferry. NC has an excellent ferry system. Except for two cross-sound ferries, they are free!

Packed like old times. They do have the passenger lounge closed.

Part of the NCDOT budget. Even the 2 1/2 hr. trip is only $15 per car. Our ferry trip was about 70 minutes due to shoaling in the channel. Approx. 30 cars per ferry and they run from 4:30 AM approx. every half hour (both ways) until midnight.

^ OMGoodness, please send that budget team to MI. It would cost me that much to park in the lot to watch others use the ferry. Hope you are having a good time get-away.

I cut grass, took out a faucet that was in a terrible location under the sink - - with a lot of help from my son, and bought a new dog harness. Boy, how's that for excitement. Things will get better soon........ got's tah finish this Beam and then we are going out!

75mph winds overnight, so nature decided what I'd be doing this weekend.

This is a steel-framed, 8x16 shed that started the night on the other side of the fence, right-side up. Probably weighs over 600lb. Somewhat annoyingly, the fence was only 3 months old. Still, good excuse to buy a post hole borer for the tractor. Thankfully all the calves were out of the way, and the fence slowed the shed down enough that it didn't keep rolling towards them. Still blowing a gale at the moment so I just ran out a hot wire to keep the stock away, then smashed out the plywood to make it less of a parachute.

If we get a decent amount of rain this week I'm going to detail the S. I've been limiting my water usage due to the drought we are in as we have a well but we are supposed to get a few good days of rain this week so i think it will be safe by the weekend. Winter is coming so it's time to start getting ready.

I also have to fix the big bookcase in my living room that everyone who visits always looks at and comments how amazing it is that the bookcase can hold the weight of so many books. It stopped being amazing this afternoon just before I left for work.
