My late lawyer and good friend would have loved this. He flew a Corsair in the Pacific in WWII. We took him and my dad some years ago to the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico. There is a Corsair hanging from the ceiling. It was awesome.

We also see vintage aircraft and fighter jets fly over Arlington Cemetery fairly often for funerals. All in all, very cool!!
As I mentioned, I was on the Mall in 2015 for the 70th anniversary flyover. Here is a pic I took of a B-29 on that occasion: (I have about 50 more pics, BTW) I was really disappointed they were not flying lower.

Here's a flight of 4 P-51's at the same event: (Note the D-Day markings on 3 of them)

Cloud cover was too low so today's flyover was cancelled. Trying for tomorrow, but that does not look too promising, either.

I've got a bunch of errands to run and since it is supposed to be sunny and possibly 80 tomorrow I'm taking the S and will be taking the long way. I took it to work today which I normally don't do when I have a construction gig but it is really nice out and the car has been sitting the last couple of days.

Live music!

One of our favorite bands is playing at an outdoor venue at Felix's Oyster House on the Gulf tomorrow afternoon. I will probably have a roast beef poorboy. The drummer is a friend of ours through Running of the Bulls in NOLA. The band then heads over to Bay St. Louis where they will be playing outside at The Ugly Pirate. We will follow them over and catch act 2.

Live music. Good food. Nice beer selection. If the weather cooperates (they have been rained out two weekends in a row at Felix's) it should be a fine day.
