I had a great time at the lake yesterday and it was so good to see all my friends again I haven't seen them since the winter. One friend has a pontoon boat and one a cabin cruiser so we loaded them up with everybody and floats for the kids and went to a section called the sandbar and anchored there and hung out and swam around and ate lunch there. Went back to the lake house and had a late supper and I took off about ten p.m. I took the S so it was a nice top down ride home I took a back road through farm country, real Vermont! All the towns cancelled their fireworks displays but people were lighting them off here and there. Independance Day has always been well celebrated in Vermont.

I started fishing early. Can't remember whether it looks bare because there were canals being dug or it was after a big forest fire down there.

Oldest grandson celebrated his 24th today. We had a good time. Here's his younger brothers as well.

I don't recall how much I've shared on this. Cindy got her 5 year heart checkup - good. She got her 1 year cancer checkup - good.
Her mother got a cancer diagnosis recently as well. Lumpectomy came back with 1 of 6 margins not clear. They also did 4 lymph nodes (3 were positive).
This past Tuesday, she had a second surgery. The pathology today was clear, and the extra lymph nodes were negative. So all good.

Cindy and I have been all week and expect to stay a few more days until her mom's drains are clear.

I brought my clubs this time. I like playing new courses and there's an abundance of choices here. I talked to some friends down here and chose to play the Course at Glenn Mills. There's a story there too, but lets say, $100 isn't a cheap course, but this was worth it. Beautiful layout, challenging, and under the Covid situation, handling our safety pretty well..

Oh, yea, then there's this!!!!

Roughly 30 years of playing... First one!

Congrats, Gary! Good news on Cindy's testing, hope her Mom recovers quickly from her surgery.

Its going to be hot and humid this weekend. No exciting plans, will avoid crowded beaches, etc. No interest. I'll head out for a walk in the AM, hang around here and we have one friend joining us for dinner on the deck tomorrow.

Sun AM I'm signed up for a class. Watching temps before I make final decision on that!

Gary, you have had to learn way to much terminology related to cancer. Glad things are looking up though.

And speaking of looking...how long did you look for your ball before you found it in the cup? Or did you get to watch it go in from the tee. Congratulations. Been playing for 52 years and the Ace is still a stranger to me.

BTW, this means drinks are on you next time we all get together. Maybe we can organize a vintage golf outing. High score wins, though.
