Not much planned. Weather is turning cold. As I sit here I've got my winter socks on, jeans, a warm top and another top on top. Thermostat set at 71 and I'm still cold! I'll head out to the Y in the AM and Rick and I talked about going out for a late lunch early dinner so we can be out in the warmer part of the day. Time to dig out a winter coat!!

Having lunch with a friend tomorrow. Will probably walk back home from the restaurant. Couple of miles. I usually do that from Clarendon, where it is located. My bank and dentist are there, too, so that is my routine. The +1's race in TN is going well so far. Only about 24 hours left.

Just finished blowing huge oak leaves and I'm sure there will be plenty more this weekend.

One of my friends/clients is turning 50. He owns a beer brewing company and is throwing a party for himself. We'll be two of 150+- people helping him celebrate.
Sunday we go a memorial for the president of a family winery. His sister is one of the +1's good friends. Two different celebrations, for sure.

Busy weekend ahead. Hopefully the new mower (Walker B18 for those interested) turns up today so I can mow at least part of the lawns tomorrow. I'm working 23:00-00:00 Friday night, then 07:00-08:30ish on Saturday, before taking my son out to cricket, then home again for his 13th birthday party (hence the need to mow).
I think I'm also working from 23:00 Saturday til 06:00 Sunday, then the rest of the day will be spent in a fog of sleeplessness, hopefully lazing in the sun and falling asleep on the couch in front of the TV, but more likely moving furniture and ripping up old carpet.

They're easily the most enjoyable way to mow a large area, about 2 acres in our case, with the odd last-resort mow of another 4.5 if absolutely necessary. I trialed a couple of Hustlers, they were also great but I struggled to get under some trees with the mid-mounted blades, hence going with an up-front, even though it cost about 60% more. We employed the "buy once, buy right" principle, as we do with all tools, so hopefully it will last for 20+ years - it's the second most expensive vehicle in the fleet right now.
