Thanks all—- it’s been difficult but not as much as I thought it would be. 60days in rehab really helps——plus I came to realize that I and only I made those choices in the past.

Dave, we recently had a young man staying with us.
He was broke and involuntarily drying out, I wasn't going to pony up any money to support him. ( I know, I'm an SOB)

It wasn't pretty. 3 days of retching and puking before my son had money to help him get booze.
In the replay, a month later he wound up in the hospital.

You aren’t a SOB for doing what you did. There are plenty of free or very very low cost rehab centers across the US.
It’s up to him if he wants it or not.
