^ The pipes in our building are being replaced. The pipe that feeds the humidifier is new but that water has not been turned on yet. It is so dry in the apt. I hate it. Supposedly, we will have water in there sometime in Jan. I can't wait.

we've been running two ultrasonic humidifiers in our bedroom.
Dew point is 3°, the air so dry. Even my stubby little 1/2 inch of hair is getting static frizz.

A new house in northern Ohio, how could you forget that! I have always had one on our furnace; wouldn't be without one.

It wasn’t included nor was it an option. Up until this really cold spell the house moisture was above 30% due to all of the fresh concrete but with the furnace running so much it has dropped dramatically. The plan was to install it this coming summer but it is time to step up that plan.

Babysat the little grandnieces for about three hours last night - fun but exhausting. They go, go, go all the time! The older girl (almost 3) discovered Mommy and Daddy had left about 20 minutes after they went and cried for a bit. But then the +1 got her interested in a movie and she was fine. The younger one (1) is a climber. Stands up on chairs and tables. Yikes. They are cute, though.

Watching the Eagles at 1 and the Ravens at 4 with my wife and a nice bottle of Red wine. Too cold to go anywhere.

How cold is "too cold" in your world?

It's 11 degrees here. That's too cold in my world. Rick dealt with our snowfall this AM, we ran one errand and that was it, we are in for the evening. New Year's Eve isn't my thing anyway. We may go out to lunch tomorrow...

Staying in tonight, as usual. Having some friends and neighbors over tomorrow afternoon for a North Carolina tradition, Hoppin' John. (And wine, and beer, and gin!)

It's 9° and we are home. In fact, Donna's putting a steak on the outside grill as I type this. It goes along with the lobster she's cooking. It will be a quiet night at home for us but we will eat well, and I think we can find something to drink now and later.
